How do you define a “cool vendor”?
According to Gartner, a vendor should be considered as innovative or transformative for products, services or initiatives. The criteria by which a vendor is defined as “cool” are:

- Impact – the “vendor” offers technologies/products that have or will have a commercial impact; it is not just “technology for technology’s sake”.
- Intriguing – the vendor has attracted Gartner’s interest and curiosity over the last 12 months.
